SRINAGAR, May 22 (KNO) : Condemning Indian Army for opening fire on unarmed civilians at the time of ‘Iftaar’ in D K Pora village of Shopian, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has said that such incidents vindicate that India does not need Kashmiri people but it is only interested in the land of Kashmir.

JKDFP spokesperson while condemning the Army action said that people of D K Pora, Shopian have set an example by refusing ‘Iftaar’ of the occupied forces and this has once again proved that Kashmiri people cannot be lured by mere gestures. This also should act as writing on the wall for New Delhi and it must now understand the fact that unless and until Kashmiris are given right to self determination they cannot be silenced even by using brute forces against them. Praying for the speedy recovery of injured girls, the JKDFP spokesperson said that it is shameless to open fire on women after people politely rejected Army’s ‘iftaar’.

This proves that Indian Army has not any goodwill for Kashmiri people and it can kill them even at the time of ‘Iftaar’. Terming the so called gestures like ‘iftaar’ parties as futile, JKDFP spokesperson said that Jammu Kashmir people are fighting for their right to self determination, as promised to them by international community. If India accepts this right only, the Kashmiri people will accept every gesture of India.
